Prepayment and Invoice

Full payment is required to reserve your time slot, workshop, or course. An available place or time slot cannot be held based on an e-mail or message request.

Reserved spot must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice. If payment is not received by the deadline, the reservation may be cancelled and the place released to another student. Payment made after the deadline does not guarantee that the reservation is still available.

Cancellations by Participants:

Private Art Classes – Children and Adults:

• More than 24 hours before the private art class: Full refund or option to reschedule (if space allows).
• No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours: No refund nor reschedule.

Drop-in Group Art Classes – Children:

• More than 24 hours before the drop-in art class: Full refund or option to reschedule (if space allows).
• No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours: No refund nor reschedule.

Prepaid Long-term Group Art Classes for Children:

• This applies when a parent or guardian has arranged and prepaid a series of regular group classes for a child, for example two weeks, one month, a semester, or another agreed period. The agreed days are reserved for a student for the prepaid period.
• Missed classes without a proper cancellation do not automatically extend the validity period of the booking.
• At least 24 hours before the group art class: Full refund or option to reschedule (if space allows).
• No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours: No refund nor reschedule.
• If either the studio or a parent/guardian decides to discontinue the child’s participation in future classes, any prepaid and unused future classes cancelled will be refunded, provided that 24-hour cancellation notice has been given.

Group Courses and Workshops – Adults:

• More than 7 days before the group workshop/course: Full refund or option to reschedule (if applicable).
• Less than 7 days before a group workshop or course: no refund.
• Once a customer cancels their non-refundable booking, the reserved spot is released and becomes available for other customers to book.
• If a customer wishes to attend after cancelling a non-refundable booking, the booking may be reinstated without additional payment, provided the request is made at least 24 hours before the class, the spot is still available, and the class is still scheduled to take place. Requests made less than 24 hours before the class cannot be accommodated. If the class is fully booked, the cancelled spot cannot be reclaimed.
• No-shows: No refund or rescheduling.

Rescheduling:

• Private classes may be rescheduled once per booking with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations by Instructor:

• In rare cases (e.g., emergency, sickness), the class may be rescheduled or refunded in full.

Availability and Overbooking

Availability is managed manually on this website. In the rare event that more bookings are received than there are available places in a class/workshop/course, bookings will be confirmed in the order in which payment was received. Any booking exceeding stated capacity will be cancelled and refunded in full.

Refund Method:

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 1-3 business days.

Participation & Conduct

• Please arrive on time. If you are late, the class will not be extended or repeated, and no compensation will be provided for missed time.

• Respectful and supportive behavior is expected from all participants. All students are expected to treat the instructor and fellow participants with kindness and respect.

• No video or audio recording or of the class without permission.

Intellectual Property.

All materials, content, and instruction provided during classes are for personal use only and may not be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission. This includes exercises, techniques, videos, and other instructional materials.

Non-Transferable Bookings

Bookings are personal and may not be transferred to another participant without prior approval from Aleksandra Strokina art Studio.

Individual Booking Requirement

For administrative and safety reasons, each adult participant must complete their own booking. A parent/guardian must complete the booking for their own child.

Extra Guests/Participants Policy

Please note that extra guests are not allowed during art classes and workshops unless arranged and confirmed in advance.

Scheduling Responsibility

Participants are responsible for managing and scheduling their own sessions. Reminder notifications will not be sent.

Changes to Schedule or Program

The instructor reserves the right to make minor changes to class content, structure, or schedule when necessary. 

Behavior Expectations – Children and Adults

• Respectful and appropriate communication is required in all interactions with the instructor, including, but not limited to, in-person classes, emails, and messages. The art studio owner reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if respectful and constructive communication or a suitable working environment cannot be maintained, including in interactions with parents/guardians.
• Children and adults are expected to behave in a respectful and cooperative manner during art classes.
• If a child’s or adult’s behavior is repeatedly disruptive, prevents the instructor from teaching, significantly affects other participants, or if the reasonable classroom instructions are repeatedly not followed, the instructor reserves the right to: remove the child/adult from the current art class and/or discontinue the child’s or adult’s participation in future classes.
• If the child/adult is removed from the class that has already started due to their behavior, no refund will be provided for that class.
• If the studio decides to discontinue the child’s future participation, any prepaid and unused future classes will be refunded.
• If the studio decides to discontinue an adult’s future participation, any refund for the remaining prepaid and unused part of the course will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable Norwegian law.
• The studio also reserves the right to decline future bookings.

Additional Terms for Children’s Art Classes

Drop-off and Pick-up

The building is closed on weekends and after 16:00 on weekdays, so specific drop-off and pick-up procedures are necessary in order for the art classes to operate under these access conditions.

Children must arrive at the building entrance 5 minutes before the scheduled class time. The teacher meets the children at this time and takes the group directly to the studio.

If a child arrives after the group has left the entrance, the parent/guardian must remain with the child and wait. The teacher will return to the entrance when possible after the class has started and instructions have been given to the children who arrived on time. Waiting time for late arrivals may vary. Time missed due to late arrival or waiting at the entrance will not be added to the end of the class.

Children must be picked up on time at the scheduled end of the class. The teacher does not provide supervision before the scheduled meeting time or after the class has ended.

Repeated late pick-ups may result in refusal of future bookings.

Parental Involvement

Parents/guardians are not permitted to remain in the classroom unless explicitly agreed in advance. Any communication regarding the class must be respectful and directed through appropriate channels.

In accordance with building rules, only one parent may remain in the waiting area while the child attends the art class (if applicable).

Photo & Media

Photos or videos may occasionally be taken during classes for promotional purposes, including images of artwork. If consent is not given, the child’s face will not be included.

Age requirement 7+

Children’s group art classes are available for children aged 7 and older only. The child must be at least 7 years old on the date of the class.

The group class format requires children to be able to follow the teacher’s instructions, work independently on their project for periods of time, and handle art materials and tools with appropriate care.

The minimum age requirement helps ensure that the teacher can provide sufficient attention and support to all children in the group.

If a child requires continuous one-to-one assistance or is not yet ready for the group class format, the studio may recommend waiting before booking further group classes.

Gift Card Terms and Conditions

The gift card is issued to the person named on the card and may be used only for that person’s participation or purchases. It cannot be divided between several people or used to pay for friends, family members, or other participants.

The gift card may be used for:

• Joining group art classes or courses
• Booking private one-to-one art classes
• Joining drop-in art sessions
• Purchasing original artworks directly from Aleksandra Strokina Art Studio

The named gift card holder may purchase an artwork as a gift for another person.

– All classes and art sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. The studio’s standard booking, cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show policies also apply when a gift card is used.

• The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash.
• To use a gift card, please contact Aleksandra Strokina Art Studio by email before booking. Gift card bookings are arranged directly with the studio and are subject to availability. Please include the name of the gift card holder and the class or service you would like to book.
• Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Acceptance of Terms

By booking an art class, course or a workshop, the participant confirms that they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
